Accessibility Enhanced Motorhomes Sold Exclusively Through La Mesa RV
In an ideal world, wheelchair accessible RVs would be readily available. In reality, the RV industry has had relatively limited options when it comes to providing RVers with choices friendly to travelers needing assistance due to limited mobility. Often, the only choice was to purchase a new or used RV and then have conversions taking place, many times making such RVs a financial impossibility.
Winnebago Industries recently announced two new products designed specifically for RVers needing mobility assistance through the introduction of the Inspire and Adventurer Accessibility Enhanced (AE) motorhomes. Built with quality standards set by the production line at Winnebago, the Specialty Vehicles at Winnebago division finishes out the units to include items such as a wheelchair lift, zero edge shower entry, handrails, and modified cabinetry and seating features.
La Mesa RV has been granted an exclusive arrangement with Winnebago to make available both the Inspire and Adventurer AE equipped units at all of their 10 stores across the country. New 2021 models will begin to arrive in La Mesa RV stores starting in February 2021. Travelers going to the Tampa Supershow in January 2021 will also have the opportunity to see one of the new Inspire diesel pusher AE models that will be on display.
The Inspire AE is based on a Freightliner chassis equipped with a 340 HP diesel pusher engine. One floorplan, the 34E, features a BraunAbility 800-pound capacity lift, an Ideal Rest Nouvea digital control mattress, roll in bath and shower plus an optional drop-down bed above the pilot and co-pilot seats.
For 2021, the Adventurer 30T-AE model comes equipped with the BraunAbility 800-pound capacity lift, a 54" roll-in shower, and a king-size bed. Both products are designed to appear just like any other motorhome on the road today with the exception of the additional flush door that conceals the lift.
