February 2020 Events Across Florida that RVers Do Not Want to Miss

 

If you've made your way south or are planning on making your way to warmer days for the rest of winter, there are some must-see festivals, events and parades across Florida to put on your itinerary this February. The sunshine state is offering you great food, wine, garlic (we did say garlic), music, arts, brews, seafood, blues, hot air balloons and strawberries that are not to be missed this winter season. From Mardi Gras parades to Wetlands Fest and so much more, here are the events RVers can put on their calendar for this February 2020.

 



 

GARLIC FEST
Dates: February 8 - 9, 2020
Address: 2700 6th Ave South | Lake Worth, Florida 33461
Details: With the tag line, "Still Stinkin' After All These Years!" how could you ever pass up such an event? Garlic Fest is an incredibly unique and well-celebrated festival (returning for its 21st year) held in Lake Worth. What began as a small festival in a city parking lot in Delray Beach has turned into an event boasting over 20,000 attendees each year. Have your pick from over 100 garlic menu items, enjoy arts and crafts vendors, and let the kids play at the children's amusement park equipped with rides. Welcome to, "The best stinkin' party in South Florida."

JACKSONVILLE FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL
Dates: February 9, 2020
Address: 715 Riverside Ave | Jacksonville, Florida 32204
Details: Jacksonville's Food and Wine Festival is a special events that features over 60 wines and 20 of Jacksonville's top restaurants. If you opt for a VIP ticket, you'll enjoy complimentary Food & Wine sampling, all-day access to VIP area with private seating and refreshment stations, air conditioned restrooms, preferred concert viewing area, commemorative wine glass and more. All proceeds from the festival will benefit the Wagoner Foundation - a local non-profit that supports The Salvation Army, Vets 4 Vets, Fur Sisters, Vets on Tap, The Jacksonville Jaycees and The Women's Army Corps Veterans Association.

ORLANDO WETLANDS FESTIVAL 2020
Dates: February 15, 2020

Details: This all ages event is perfect for the entire family. Since 2001, the Orlando Wetlands Festival has worked to create community awareness of local Orlando Wetlands Park by allowing the community to come learn the importance of Florida's ecological resources. The event features local food vendors, live animals, native plant give-away, guided bus tours of the Wetlands Park, as well as guided hikes for birders and photographers.

COCONUT GROVE ARTS FESTIVAL
Dates: February 15 - 17, 2020
Address: 3390 Mary Street Suite 128 | Coconut Grove, Florida 33133
Details: This nonprofit festival is your access to Miami's original art district. Come experience, "art that has never tasted so good" in Miami this February. From music to food and of course, so much art, you can enjoy the work of over 360 artists! If you're RVing with the kids, this is the perfect event to introduce them to art. There will also be a kid-friendly and educational "family zone" for children of all ages to participate in activities and workshops.

PCB MARDI GRAS AND MUSIC FESTIVAL
Dates: February 21 - 22, 2020
Address: 600 Pier Park Drive | Panama City Beach, Florida 32413
Details: Panama City Beach is an RVers haven in and of itself in the winter season. With white beaches and emerald waters, this coastal town is the ultimate getaway. While you're here, check out the annual Mardi Gras and Music Festival which features a beach parade, float tours, kids parade, live entertainment, 5k run, and so much more.

CLEARWATER SEA BLUES FESTIVAL
Dates: February 22 - 23, 2020
Address: 301 Drew Street | Clearwater, Florida 33755
Details: Do you like seafood and live music? Are you interested in dancing your way through Saturday and Sunday? If you answered yes to any of the above, you should make your way to Clearwater for their Sea Blues Festival. Acts include Allen Stone, Brandon Santini, Tab Benoit, Betty Fox Horn Band and The Broadcast.

JUPITER SEAFOOD FESTIVAL
Dates: February 22 -23, 2020
Address: 400 Florida A1A | Jupiter, Florida 33477
Details: Come one, come all and enjoy family entertainment, fresh seafood and live music in the great town of Jupiter. Some big acts will be taking the stage including The Original Wailers and Waterloo Revival. The festival will have numerous vendors selling arts and crafts and the seafood is not to be missed!

FLORIDA STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL
Dates: February 27 - March 8, 2020
Address: 2209 W Oak Ave | Plant City, Florida 33563
Details: This 11 day community event celebrates Hillsborough county's strawberry harvest. Over 500,000 visitors make their way to Plant City every year to be entertained by live music, carnival rides, and you guest it, the best strawberry shortcake. 2020 headliners include Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire, Patti LaBelle, Josh Turner, and Sara Evans among others.

UP UP AND AWAY FLORIDA HOT AIR BALLOON FESTIVAL
Dates: February 28 - March 1, 2020
Address: 4175 Medulla Road | Lakeland, Florida 33811
Details: Enjoy the three-day hot air balloon festival that bring not only magic to the sky but vendors and entertainment right at your feet. From live music to delicious food, a kids zone and evening balloon glows, you and your RVing pals will have a blast at this unique event. If your sights are set on the sky, you can book your own private hot air balloon ride!
