Class C Motorhomes

A Class C motorhome is a van or truck cab, with a body built on to the frame by the motorhome manufacturer. These are generally lighter duty than a Class A, and have lower carrying capacities.

Class C motorhomes generally come equipped with everything you need to be self-contained. Most have a bed over the cab, but an entertainment system may be an option if you don’t need extra sleeping space. The Class C is generally designed for younger families with children. Couples are finding that the smaller size is perfect for backwoods travel and get-aways for two.

Class A Motorhome

Most class C Motorhomes are now equipped with slideouts. This allows part of a wall to move out up to 3 1/2' feet. Most come with 1or 2 slideouts. A motorhome with this feature, once parked, allows the interior area to increase and creates a larger area for everyone to enjoy. Some Class C’s even offer a large storage compartment in the rear, that will hold bicycles (some even a golf cart)

Class C motorhomes range in length from 21-36 feet. Most Class C models will sleep 2-10 people. Gasoline models are the most common, but a few manufacturers build a diesel powered unit in limited floorplans.

Class Cs are usually equipped with an engine built by Ford, General Motors or Mercedes-Benz with a chassis being built by Ford, GM or Dodge.
